We visited the famous Danakil Depression and the Omo tribe in July. The Danakil was a bit tough especially the Erta Ale trekking but it worth it! The Lava Lake, Dallol the colorful place, the Salt Lake? words can?t explain any of it. OMG!!! The Omo tribes are also different. The women wear only skirt made up of skin but bare breasts, they decorate their body and faces using colorful mud, Donga the stick fight? Generally, Ethiopia is rich in Culture and Nature. First we were not concerned about the air conditioned car, we thought nothing is irresistible. But, it is very necessary. Thanks to Israel (Magma Flow Tours) he arranged new 2012 air conditioned cars. He arranged many things as he promised on email. Knowledgeable professional guides concerned about our happiness and comfort, the cook provided plenty & amazing food (In such a Desert), the drivers were also experienced, all the hotels he booked? I totally recommend Magma Flow Tours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We were referred to Israel's Magma Flow Tours agency by our Italian friends who previously travelled to Dancalia and were quite happy about the experience. As for us, we arranged a 7 days trip from Mekelle to Lalibela, with many stops along the way (Gheralta, Axum, Gondar and Bahir Dar). Israel accompanied us and managed to provide a wonderful traveling experience. The driver too was very skilled and professional, even if the car was a bit too rusty and gave us some problems along the way - which they solved rather quickly, "the african way" :)
To sum it up, these are the best points:
- In every city we had at our disposal a local guide
- We could personally choose each hotel, to guarantee ourselves some kind of European standard
- He often chose very good restaurants and coffee places
- He promptly fulfilled our desire of visiting the Awra Amba village and modified our schedule in order to do it
- The quality/price ratio is very good (compared to other agencies we negotiated with)

My friend and I are french. We have done a travel in the north of Ethiopia in 2013 and made a tour in the Danakil depression with a guide of this agency named Israel Kindeya. He is a very good guide : he speaks good english, knows well the area and is very attentive and takes good care of the travelers.
